Charity events
Each year, our student council takes on the important task of selecting a charity to support throughout the year. This initiative is driven by the belief that our actions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Every term, the newly elected student council organizes a charity event aimed at supporting the chosen cause. These events vary widely and can include fundraising activities such as discos, car washes, summer and winter fayres, bake sales, sponsored walks/runs, talent shows, dress-up days, and raffles or auctions. Our goal is to address diverse needs and alternate between local and international charities, ensuring a broad impact.
Here are some of the charities we have supported since 2021:
Du Côté des Femmes
A local charity dedicated to helping women who have suffered from domestic abuse. Our support has helped them provide essential services and resources to these women.
Cardinal Emile Biayenda School, Democratic Republic of Congo:
We funded critical repairs, such as installing toilet doors, fixing windows, and repairing the roof to improve the learning environment for students.
Education for All, Morocco
We helped rebuild a school that was destroyed by an earthquake, ensuring that children could continue their education in a safe and secure environment.
OGFA
A large local charity that assists refugees, orphaned children, vulnerable women, and homeless people. Our contributions have supported their broad range of services.
Mandala Trust, Jordan
We supported this charity in equipping refugee children so they could attend ‘Hope School’, providing them with essential educational supplies and support.
Ahmed Andaloussi and Alex Baldoni
These athletes inspired us during our Olympic 2024 celebrations by sharing their journey as elite athletes. Learning about their lack of funding for their Paralympic/Olympic dreams, we decided to support them financially to help them achieve their goals.
Citizen responsability
These charity efforts are not only about giving but also about fostering a sense of empathy, responsibility, and global awareness in our students. By actively participating in these initiatives, our students learn the importance of helping others and the impact of their contributions on a broader scale. This commitment to charity work is an integral part of our school ethos, encouraging our students to become compassionate and proactive global citizens.
